Interns are in full swing!

“When life's flight is over, and we unload our cargo at the other end, the fellow who got rid of unnecessary weight will have the most valuable cargo to present the Lord.” – Nate Saint

Summer Interns

Our summer interns are all here – some for almost a month and others for two weeks. Three are serving with our Community Development Team, two with our Power Solutions Team, and one with our Communications Team. We've enjoyed getting to know them as we're hosting a couple of meals for them, and Jean is mentoring one.

Please pray for a good learning experience as they apply their academic knowledge to solve real-world ministry challenges in addition to growing more passionate about God's global commission.

The Gospel for Youth – by Youth

How does a long-established ministry stay relevant when its focus is on reaching youth? Since its inception in 1991, Radio Kahuzi, based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), has valued youth-led initiatives to increase opportunities for all youth to hear about the Lord Jesus. They have focused on engaging, educating, and empowering the next generation of children by teaching them using FM and shortwave programming, which includes gospel music, Bible teaching, rural development programming, and radio clubs.

 Praises
  • Breck Conley began her year-long commitment on June 24th to our Discover program serving in Information Technology. We praise the Lord for this!
  • We get the pleasure of hosting Dr. Jeff and Sandy Shortt when they volunteer with us. Jeff is a retired engineering professor from Cedarville University; Sandy is the author of the story we've featured in this prayer letter.

Prayer Requests
  • We had new kids come to our McCoy Church's VBS this year. Please pray that God will use what they've heard that week and draw them to Himself!
  • Vox Radio, a ministry partner in Liberia, suffered a lightning strike, and their station is off the air. Please pray as they raise funds for repairs and get back on the air to proclaim God’s word to Liberia.

Farakoren, Kenya - Solar Ministry Toolkit

Our partner, Audio Scripture Ministries (ASM) shared this on Facebook: “This Solar Ministry Tool Kit was recently installed in Farakoren, Northern Kenya through your prayers and support, and thanks to Gospel Partners The Tirrim Trust, SonSet Solutions, Theovision International Kenya, and Africa Inland Mission (USA). Will you pray, as Pastor David shared, that this toolkit will amplify the reach of the gospel in their region so more people can hear the Word of God for themselves?”

ASM also posted a very good video – here's a link to the video: https://youtu.be/baP3lxvMQlc

Radio Shalom - solar energy system

Mamoud (red shirt) from Radio Shalom in Sierra Leone is meeting with community leaders in the city of Mongo where the radio station has a repeater. We are working with Mamoud to install a solar energy system that will power their studio building in the city of Kabala.

Please ask the Lord to give us wisdom in our analyses to best serve the needs of Radio Shalom, as they seek to broadcast the gospel in areas that are mostly Muslim.
