Sixteen Years of Service

Nigeria “They used to call me Chief Trouble.” For years, the motor park in Ibadan, Nigeria, was both his kingdom and his cage. He worked as a hawker, loading buses, shouting destinations, collecting fees, and starting fights just to prove he was to be feared. Each morning began at the liquor stall, and by midday his voice was hoarse from shouting and arguing. Chaos was his survival. Sometimes, TWR volunteers came with pamphlets about TWR Radio 1476 kHz. He mocked them loudly. “See these church people! Will radio save Nigeria?” He chased them away, thinking he was defending his territory. People like TWR engineer Larry McGuire, serving through SonSet Solutions, supplied the electrical equipment that powers this station. Summer Interns

We had a great intern group this summer! Please pray for the Lord’s clear direction for their future. We would love for them to return to SonSet Solutions as full-time team members however our prayer is that God will guide each of them to the place where they can best serve Him and use their gifts for His glory. Jean had the blessing to mentor Maddie Mills while she was here. Studying electrical engineering at Grove City College, she has just begun her senior year.

Praises:​ For new ministry arm IT Solutions, and the impact we're already seeing worldwide! For 40 blessed years of marriage, and 16 in fruitful service with SonSet Solutions. For at least two campers we know of who were saved at Checkpoint Bible Camp. For a refreshing staff retreat. Prayer:​ For guidance as to what the Lord has for us in the coming years. For strength as there are ​extra duties we need to pick up on a temporary basis. For good engagement in coming mission conferences and college fairs. For fall ministries starting soon at our church in Elkhart. Much outreach is planned.​
